TS vs GC Region D semifinal

I totally agree. I think that is the only game I've ever heard fans from the losing side say "It was a tough loss, but a fair game." Gate City had class tonight. Wish we could both move on.

The same said for the winning side. I heard fans saying " they hated to see anyone lose" This a true classic game for this area. I think both teams showed great class in the game and the fans and non-fans definately got their 5 dollars worth tonight. I spoke with fans from far away as Johnson City that were there just to see the excitement. This says alot for the Region D tournament held in Clinco Virginia,.

not to be a party pooper, but wow, I cannot believe they played 3OT's and neither team broke 60, for such a great game, thats pathetic.

I would guess he is talking about 97 when they upset TS in the regional semis.

Yeah thats the game, it was in 97.

We were 2-1 against TS that year. Split with them in the regular season.

I would have to rank this game in the top 2 or 3 games myself. I definitely have never seen two teams play with as much heart and determination.

Twin Springs really earned this win.

Gate City played a helluva game, but I think there were some mistakes near the end that ultimately cost the game. GC kept giving the ball to Anderson who tried to force some shots that would have worked in most games, against most teams, but not in this game. Inexperience was a big factor here.
